EXPERIENCE:
General:
Mr. Saleem was the Deputy Managing Partner, Member Board, Leader Tax of Deloitte Pakistan Firm and Partner in-charge of Islamabad and Afghanistan, the second largest office in Pakistan Firm. He was responsible for the delivery of all Deloitte’s multidisciplinary services at the Islamabad Office and Afghanistan. Mr. Saleem’s experience spans over (40) years in the fields of assurance, financial advisory, consulting and tax in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.

Mr. Saleem has directed and lead variety of complex projects, as Lead Client Service Partner, involving; statutory and management audits, due diligence reviews, development of accounting and financial management systems, project feasibility studies and tax and corporate advisory assignments.

Mr. Saleem has very widely traveled all over the world both in connection with the professional assignments and attending the international conferences and seminars. He also has served as member of various committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

SOME KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
Created a solid practice base in the North with singular self-driven efforts in the presence of competition from rest of the three of big fours and, exhibited the entire qualities of a professional who can turn the potential into a practical achievement. Developed and executed many multimillion dollar engagements which none of the other Offices/Partners have achieved.

These engagements comprised National Drainage Programme, Department of Auditor General of Pakistan and OGDCL’s MIS Project. Two engagements currently in hand are worth more than a million dollars which are being executed for the Privatization Commission of Pakistan and the USAID respectively..

Took a bold and courageous step to start executing assignments in Afghanistan for Deloitte clients in Afghanistan and set a leadership example by physically visiting Afghanistan on a number of occasions so as to remove the fear factor among the teams working in Afghanistan.

As Tax Leader Pakistan 2008, have achieved a convincing double digit growth of 24.62%.
The recent big win with the Privatization Commission of Pakistan

during 2008-9 involved a very close working coordination with two of the country’s highest offices i.e. the Prime Minister’s Secretariat including the federal cabinet and, the President House.
